RECENT PRESENTATIONS:
• The ancient land of the Etruscans evolved into today’s Tuscany, Rome and peripheral regions.
Emperor Claudius and Thomas Dempster sparked enormous interest for Etruscan culture in their respective times.
• King Gustav of Sweden greatly promoted the archaeological research while looking for his Scandinavian ancestors in Tuscany in 1966.
• The Bronze Chimera recovered in the 16th century symbolized the total rebirth of Etruscology as noted by Benvenuto Cellini and the de’Medici Family, Grand Dukes of Tuscany.
• The Etruscans then became part of the Grand Tour of the Western Nations
• Josiah Wedgwood dedicated his pottery to the Arts of the Etruscans.
Notable museums in both the US and Europe house outstanding collections from the Etruscan world.
